❀ Commission Guidelines ❀
general terms
Prices are subject to change based on demand.
Prices are dependent on the complexity of the commission.
I have the right to reject any order for any reason.
payment
I accept payment via PayPal or Venmo. Payment will be split 50% upfront and 50% after the final deliverable(s).
process & revisions
The client is expected to provide clear directions and/or specifications for the commissioned piece. Any inspiration or photo reference(s) are welcome. Otherwise, the client may grant full creative freedom to the artist.
Included in the price, you are entitled to:
2 rough sketches
Up to 3 drafts
Up to 3 rounds of revisions
If you wish to make changes to the final deliverable(s), an additional fee will incur — unless a misunderstanding from my side has been made. The additional fee depends on the complexity of the requested change and is based on an hourly wage.
delivery
The time it takes to finish your commission varies 1 week - 1 month depending on demand and/or the complexity of the commissioned piece.
Once the piece is finalized you will receive the full-resolution artwork file as agreed upon (i.e. JPEG, PNG, etc). Please note that there is no physical product.
copyright & usage
I, Evellyn Le (the artist):
I retain all copyrights over the commissioned piece.
I will NOT claim the intellectual property (IP) rights of the original idea(s) expressed in the commissioned piece — unless the client granted full creative freedom to the artist.
I will NOT profit further from the commissioned piece (i.e. producing merchandise to be sold)
I reserve the right to showcase the commissioned piece online (i.e. my portfolio, social channels, any future publications, etc.)
You (the client):
You retain the intellectual property (IP) rights to the original idea(s) expressed in the commissioned piece — unless you (the client) granted full creative freedom to the artist.
You may upload the commissioned piece on any website and social channels, so long as proper credit is attributed to the artist.
You may NOT alter the commissioned piece without the artist's consent.
You may NOT use the commissioned piece for commercial purposes (reselling, redistributing, producing merchandise to be sold, etc.)
You may purchase commercial rights to the commissioned piece, which is a separate fee from the price of the commission. Please discuss further with the artist regarding these commercial rights.
cancellation & refund policy
Once I start working on the commission, you are allowed to cancel your commission at any time. However, you will NOT receive a refund to your 50% upfront payment.
If you request to cancel your commission before I start it, you will receive a full refund.
If for any reason I am unable to start your commission, I will send you a full refund.
